Trey Hollingsworth is a Threat to Seniors
Trey Hollingsworth is a threat to the livelihood of seniors living in Indiana's 9th District. During his 4 years in Washington, the 37-year old Congressman has repeatedly prioritized the interests of his corporate donors and wealthy friends over the people of this district, none more so than our seniors citizens.
Trey Hollingsworth’s Record Does Not Lie
Healthcare: Voted for an "age tax" that would allow insurers to charge Hoosiers over the age of 50 up to 5x higher premiums
Medicare: Voted to raise the age of eligibility
Bureaucracy: Voted to freeze operating funds to the Social Security Administration, greatly increasing delays in benefits and assistance
Postal Service: Voted against emergency funding for the USPS which so many seniors rely upon for medication
I'm truly worried what another two years of Trey Hollingsworth could mean for Hoosier seniors. President Trump has promised that if he wins in November he will "terminate” the payroll tax--which is currently used to support Social Security--a move that could deplete the fund by as early as 2024!
Our Congressman cannot be counted on to stand up to the president. In fact, he has suggested that a permanent cut to the payroll tax would "encourage hiring more workers and allow employees to take home a bigger paycheck."
The facts could not be more clear: Trey Hollingsworth is a threat to seniors.
